The Quezon City government will be sponsoring a mega job fair on Wednesday, October 26, to bring more employment opportunities to its residents, particularly those belonging to the underprivileged sector.
At least 3,000 jobs will be offered by 40 local firms and 15 overseas employment agencies await jobseekers during the job fair, which will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the QC Hall covered walk.
The QC Public Employment Services Office (PESO) will be closely coordinating with the Department Labor and Employment (DOLE), Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the QC Tripartite Industrial Council in setting up the job fair, aptly dubbed as “Hanapbuhay Para Sa Bayan,”
Demand for service crew, clerical positions, call center agents and sales personnel are high for local firms that will be participating in the job fair.
Job orders for overseas deployment include a big demand for skilled workers, engineers, domestic helpers and factory workers in countries such as Taiwan, Hongkong, Saudi Arabia, Macau, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Bahrain and Cyprus .
