A couple and their drug courier were arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in an early morning follow-up operation at Sunkist Village, Purok 17C, Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon on November 13, 2011.
In his report to PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr., PDEA Regional Office 10 Director Roberto S. Opeña said that elements of PDEA RO10 apprehended the couple identified as Nasser Radiamoda,alias Nasser Raupan, 49 years old, farmer and his wife, Rasmea, alias Rakila Raupan, 38 years old. Both are residents of Buntungan, Wao, Lanao del Sur. Confiscated from them was one transparent sachet containing shabu weighing approximately one gram
On the other hand, the couple’s courier identified as Bantog Onti, alias Bobby, a 36-year-old Digital Video Disc (DVD) vendor and resident of Barangay Naga, Marawi City was also arrested during the operation after delivering 60 grams of shabu amounting to P 600,000.00 placed in a big-sized heat-sealed sachet to a PDEA agent who acted as poseur-buyer.
Opeña added that the trio were monitored to be the likely “source” in the reported deliveries of shabu from Marawi City and Wao, Lanao del Sur to the provinces of Bukidnon.
Earlier in the day, at about 4:30 AM, the same operating team arrested Renato Aylo, alias Bobong, 41 years old from Purok 2, Poblacion, also in Valencia City, after the suspect sold two pieces of transparent sachets containing shabu weighing more or less 0.5 grams to an undercover agent inside Gene’s Lodge, Room No. 14, Poblacion, Valencia City, Bukidnon.
The four suspects are temporarily detained at PDEA RO10 while the recovered pieces of drug evidence were brought to the Philippine National Police (PNP) Crime Laboratory for quantitative and qualitative examination.
