Road for Batangas farmers
Agrarian Undersecretary for Policy, Planning and External Affairs Gerundio Madueño recently led the groundbreaking ceremony for the concreting and rehabilitation of the 9.7-kilometer Jaybanga-Nagtaluntong farm-to-market road in Lobo, Batangas. Once the P50.6 million road project is completed, it is expected to boost the economic activity in the barangays covered by the road namely: Jaybanga, Apar, Nagtoctoc, San Nicolas and Nagtaluntong. The project is funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) and implemented under DAR’s Agrarian Reform Infrastructure Support Services (ARISP).
Also present during the event were: DAR Assistant Regional Director Alejandro Cruz, Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Felix Kagahastian, Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer Ariel Cortizano, Lobo Mayor Efren Diona, Municipal Engineer Sonny Adoyo, Mr. Rani Abu from the office of Congressman Hermilando Mandanas and Mr. Marietto Sevilla representing the office of the Governor.
