Agencies in the agricultural sector created a national registry for farmers and fisherfolk to ensure that government programs will pour to the right beneficiaries. A memorandum of agreement for the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBA) was signed recently by the Budget, Agrarian Reform, Agriculture and the Interior Local Government departments along with the National Statistics Office. The RSBA will include information on farmers and fisherfolk such as their names, addresses, farm locations, poverty level, calamity incidence, and vulnerability to climate change. This database may also be accessed by various stakeholders. From L-R: Agrarian Sec. Gil de los Reyes, Agriculture Sec. Proceso Alcala, Budget Sec. Florencio Abad, Interior Local Government Sec. Jesse Robredo and Admin. Carmelita Ericta of the National Statistics Office. Public Affairs Staff, Department of Agrarian Reform
